Safety Officer
Mid Career (4 - 6 yrs exp) - Contractor

Job Purpose
To implement, monitor, and advise on all aspects of the Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) management system on a mining site. The Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA), 1996 and other legislation to achieve a zero-harm working environment.
Key Responsibilities
Legal Compliance & Administration
Maintain and update legal compliance documentation
Facilitate safety meetings and submit safety performance reports
Minimum Requirements
National Diploma in Safety Management or equivalent
SAMTRAC / COMSOC 1&2 certification
3 years' Safety Officer experience in mining
In-depth knowledge of MHSA and Regulations
Valid Certificate of Fitness for mining
Advantageous Requirements
SACPCMP registration as Candidate Construction Health and Safety Officer
Experience with ISO 45001-based Safety Management Systems
Blasting, First Aid Level 3, Firefighting certifications
