Peer Support Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Peer Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will use your own lived experience with mental health and/or substance use recovery to provide support, encouragement, and guidance to individuals on their recovery journeys.

Responsibilities:

Build trusting, supportive relationships with peers.

Share recovery experiences to inspire hope and promote resilience.

Assist individuals in setting goals and connecting with community resources.

Provide emotional support and model wellness strategies.

Qualifications:

Lived experience of recovery with demonstrated stability.

Peer Support Specialist certification/training (or willingness to obtain).

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Commitment to empathy, respect, and empowerment.
