Content Strategist

Description

We are seeking a strategic, user-centered content strategist to lead the analysis, planning, and execution of this migration in close collaboration with internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Audit & Strategy

• Analyze existing content across SharePoint, legacy systems, and other internal sites.

• Identify high-value, outdated, redundant, or irrelevant content.

• Develop a migration strategy that aligns with Staffbase’s capabilities and AEP’s communication goals.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Lead discovery sessions with department stakeholders to understand their communication needs and priorities.

• Facilitate workshops and working sessions to co-create content structures and governance models.

• Serve as a liaison between the internal communications team and departmental content owners.

Content Design & Migration

• Define content types, templates, and presentation standards for Staffbase.

• Make informed decisions about what content to migrate, revise, or retire.

• Ensure migrated content is well-organized, easy to manage, and sustainable long-term.

Governance & Enablement

• Establish content ownership and review cycles to maintain freshness and relevance.

• Create documentation and training materials to support departmental content managers.

• Provide post-migration support and iterate based on stakeholder feedback.

Project Leadership

• Maintain a centralized tracker to monitor migration progress.

• Collaborate with internal communications, IT, and Staffbase implementation teams.

• Communicate project status and outcomes to leadership and stakeholders

Qualifications

• Proven experience in content strategy, UX writing, or internal communications.

• Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills.

• Familiarity with intranet platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Staffbase) and content governance.

• Ability to work quickly and decisively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, especially with non-technical audiences.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with enterprise content migrations or platform transitions.

• Knowledge of user-centered design principles.

• Comfort with ambiguity and ability to bring clarity to complex problems.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr.
