Community Living Center Medical Director – Full-Time Opportunity

GV (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center – Jackson, MS

The GV (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi, is seeking a Chief, Pathology and Laboratory Medicine to join our team. This full-time position offers a competitive salary and is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), providing up to $200,000 in student loan reimbursement for qualified candidates.

Position Highlights:

Participate in the creation of policies, procedures and guidelines to assure provision of adequate good quality comprehensive services, including procedures for emergency treatment of residents in the CLC.

Collaborate with CLC management to advise the CLC administration regarding adequacy and appropriateness of scope of service for CLC residents, CLC staffing models, and issues related to cultural transformation.

Tour of duty (schedule) Monday - Friday 08:00 AM - 4:30 PM. Light on-call responsibility

Salary range: $200,000 - $252,000

Basic Requirements:

Board Certified or Board Eligible.

Unrestricted U.S. medical license

Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
