Job PurposeTalent Grid Africa, on behalf of our esteemed client, is seeking passionate and qualifiedKindergarten and Grade 1 Teachers to join a reputable International School.

TheKindergarten and Grade 1 Teachers will be responsible for delivering engaging instructions thatinspires students’ curiosity, fosters whole-child development, and supports school-wide initiatives.They will contribute actively to planning and attending special programs, collaborate effectivelyduring staff and parent meetings (including Parent/Teacher conferences), and invest in ongoingprofessional development to enhance your teaching practice.

Key Responsibilities• Be responsible for students’ mastery of academic concepts and skills.• Engage in regular meetings with individual parents on issues related to students orschool policies.• Use ongoing assessments including formal observations and custom-designed toolsto evaluate developmental progress.• Collaborate with the classroom team to analyze assessment data and adjustinstructional methods accordingly.• Design and implement developmentally appropriate and inclusive curricula thatbalance child-initiated and teacher-led activities.• Use data-driven instruction practices in analyzing learning data to inform curriculumplanning and adapt teaching methodologies• Establish positive guidance practices, including consistent reward and consequencesystems.• Communicate with children at their developmental level and support theirindependence.• Create routines and facilitate smooth transitions between activities.• Design classrooms purposefully to support learning objectives.• Maintain a safe, healthy environment and promptly report any maintenance issues.• Monitor classroom inventory and assist with purchasing supplies within the allocatedbudget.• Organize and display student work in a respectful and organized manner.• Guide children in building hygiene habits and independence during routines such astoileting.• Share mealtimes with children, promoting good nutritional habits and socialdevelopment.• Assist in planning and participating in school-wide programs, trips, and specialactivities.• Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance personal andpedagogical skills.• Keep all credentials and degrees current in compliance with accrediting andregulatory bodies.• Actively participate in staff meetings and parent-teacher conferences.• Maintain strong relationships with families and effectively engage them in thelearning process.• Deliver culturally diverse experiences and learning opportunities that reflect andsupport family values and backgrounds.
