BVA Bears IT Solutions is seeking Help Desk Specialist (Senior), for both MD area as well as PA area. These positions are full-time, remote role with travel to other Government or Contractor facilities as required in PA and MD. The average workday is 8 hours and the window in which those 8 hours may be scheduled is between 6:00am hours and 6:00pm hours eastern time, Monday through Friday except for Government Holidays with the core hours (9am to 3pm) being covered.

As a Help Desk Specialist (Senior), you will provide telephone and in-person support to users in the areas of directories, standard Windows desktop applications, and applications developed under this Contract or predecessors. This individual serves as the initial point of contact for troubleshooting hardware/software PC and printer problems.

Basic Qualifications:

This position requires a Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with a major in computer science, information systems, engineering, business, or other related scientific or technical discipline. - OR - Three (3) years of equivalent experience in a related field may be substituted for the Bachelors degree.

Specialized Experience:

The proposed candidate must have at least five (5) years comprehensive knowledge of PC operating systems, e.g., DOS, Windows, as well as work on a help desk. The proposed candidate must have at demonstrated ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing and to have a positive customer service attitude.

Preferred Qualifications:

This position requires a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in a business IT environment with emphasis on PC computer hardware and applications. General experience includes, but is not limited to: information systems development, work in the client/server field, or related fields.
