Job Summary:
Responsible for executing daily sanitization of filling equipment and the product rework process. Responsible for removing debris, maintaining cleanliness of assigned equipment.
Essential Job Functions:
The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Clean and sanitize Conveyors, Filling Equipment, and other assigned production equipment.
· Complete daily equipment cleaning procedures as directed by the cleaning schedule.
· Reduce waste by handling the rework of packaged product into secondary uses.
· Understand and use a variety of Sanitation Chemicals to effectively complete assigned tasks.
· Ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clean, legible and accurate format, and completed with required information.
· Follow Good Manufacturing Practices.
· Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal codes and regulations.
· Follow all required work safe practices. This would include wearing of all required PPE in designated areas, confined space safety, safe chemical handling, fall restraints, etc.
· Support SQF program by maintaining food safety and food quality through job tasks in relation to GMPs, HACCP, sanitation, etc.
· Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately.
· Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
· Work overtime as assigned.
· Ability to work cooperatively with others.
· Comply with all company policies and procedures.Requirements:
Minimum Required Qualifications:
The minimum required qualifications for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
· High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
· Manufacturing experience preferred, but not required.
· Ability to handle hazardous chemicals is required.
· Understanding of HACCP, PMO and basic sanitation practices is preferred.
· Knowledge of food safety and GMP practices is preferred.
· Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
· Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel and climb for 5-60 minute intervals, depending on the activity, repeatedly throughout the shift. .
· Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds regularly, including overhead.
· Ability to legibly write entries for record keeping.
· Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to assist others.
· Ability to work all assigned work schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays, and comply with all time and attendance policies.
· Ability to work overtime when required.
