The Role
Summary:
The EUS IT Specialist will provide IT services and support to European users, remotely and locally. The Specialist will maintain a stable, cost effective and secure IT environment; support modernization of technology to meet the business demands. The scope of this role covers all aspects of IT operations including computer, network, communications, and other infrastructure technologies. This position requires a high degree of customer interaction and teamwork. Must be able to adapt to working in very sparse environments.
Responsibilities:
Participate in day-to-day operations and ensure Service Level Agreement/ Service Level Objectives are met.
Incident management
Resolve second line incident calls related to
Troubleshoot user issues which includes Windows 10, Remote Access, computer hardware, printers, handhelds, MFP support, barcode device support, mobile phones, meeting room equipment and Office 365.
Perform computer break fix for all supported users.
In collaboration with the infrastructure team, act as ‘remote hands’ for troubleshooting network and computer issues when needed.
Coordinate incident resolution and escalate when required
VIP support for senior management
Request management
Welcome and train new hires and collaborate in providing them the needed environment to work as part of the onboarding process.
Remove non-longer required user infrastructure as part of the offboarding process.
Ensure compliance with policies and best practices
Problem management
Identify the source of one or multiple incidents and propose workarounds and definitive fixes.
Asset management
Maintain the site inventory containing all IT assets in place and ensure asset management solution is up to date.
Continual Service Improvement: propose improvements in the processes and procedures that provide support to the service activities.
Life cycle management
Responsible for replacing computer equipment following the corporate life cycle policies.
Procurement
Purchasing IT accessories and peripherals
Purchasing / coordinating computer replacements
Participate global projects as SPOC for the region and ensure successful implementation in the region.
Liaison with vendors, including providers for maintenance of AV, UPS and printers.
Ideal Profile
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
Windows 10 Certified or equivalent
Minimum 5 years’ experience in an enterprise-wide IT support organization
Strong working knowledge of the following:
User deskside and remote support
Hands on experience with laptops, workstations, peripherals, and mobile devices (Android, iOS)
Windows 10, Active Directory, Office 365 suite, Client VPN (DirectAccess, FortiClient), Follow-me print software, antivirus, MDM (Intune)
Hands on experience with meeting room solutions, including Teams Meeting Room, Logitech Rally, Microsoft Surface Hubs - Use of ticketing tools
Intermediate knowledge of the following:
Windows Servers, Cisco switches, Wi-Fi, firewalls
Data center/server room management, and infrastructure troubleshooting
Experienced in a global matrix organization.
Knowledge and experience in Cloud Technology is an advantage
Experienced in Operational Technologies is an advantage
