Service Chemist (f/m/x) - Food Safety Laboratory

As MondiLabs FSL Service Chemist you are a team member of the MondiLabs Food Safety Laboratory (FSL) which is the service department for all Mondi sites producing sensitive packaging solutions (also food contact materials and articles). We analyse raw materials, raw paper grades, paper packaging, composites, plastic materials, and articles of our customers also including the packed goods or respective simulants. The MondiLabs FSL is an accredited testing laboratory according to EN ISO 17025:2018. Apart from that, we support the Mondi sites in external communications, in developing customer-oriented packaging solutions as well as in installing and running hygiene management systems.

Your mission:

Service support regarding questions about analytics and food contact packaging for the MondiLabs FSL customers

Support of the Mondi sites across the whole supply chain to answer customers’ specific questions

Organize external testing (including communication with the external chemical laboratories)

Internal hygiene audits and supporting the implementation of hygiene management systems

Conduct MondiLabs FSL trainings

Collaborate on quality management measurements of the MondiLabs FSL and compliance with requirements according to ISO EN 17025:2018

Contact person for associations, unions, universities and research centres, participation at scientific events like congresses, symposia, seminars etc.

Your profile:

M.Sc. in chemistry, biochemistry, food chemistry, toxicology or pharmacy

Several years of experience, preferably in organic analytics, and in packaging applications

Fluency in German and English; any other foreign language is welcome

Willingness to travel (approx. 10%)

Interest in managing scientific & industrial projects

We offer a compensation package starting at € 55.000 gross/year on a full-time basis (38 hours/week), with the opportunity of overpayment depending on your experience, skills and qualification.
