Dispatcher
Job Classification: Hourly
Reports to: Materials Management Supervisor
The purpose of this role is to provide tactical operations support involving order entry, appointment scheduling, and track and trace support. The nature of the work is proactive, and we must be able to alert key stakeholders on potential service gaps. This role is responsible for customer appointment setting and scheduling to ensure customer expectations and/or KPI's are met. Effectively prioritize and schedule approximately 50 shipments per day in a manner that meets on time pick up, delivery, maintain hours of service requirements. Participate and support with track and trace for customers as required.
Job Summary
Job Responsibilities:
Know and enforce standard operating procedures (SOP)
Check in and out truck drivers in a timely manner using logistics software.
Complete bills of lading for drivers
Maintain office areas.
Participate in physical inventory.
Check orders for accuracy before and after shipping.
Fuel, temperature, and yard checks.
Responsible for pre-cooling trailers for finished goods.
Responsible for moving trailers from yard to dock and dock to yard.
Create outbound schedule for CSW and Caines.
Constantly updating outbound schedule for added or cancelled production.
Responsible for reporting Nestle consumption and shipments.
Scan all bill of ladings to SharePoint daily.
Validate put aways.
Job Requirements:
Depending on the company you’re applying to work for, minimum shipping/receiving job requirements may include:
High school diploma or GED
Basic math skills
Order entry and administrative experience.
1 year of warehouse or logistics experience
Microsoft Office experience (Word/Excel)
Computer literacy
Comfortable working in cold and hot environments and all-weather conditions.
Physical Demands:
Occasionally lift 10 lbs, no more than 25 lbs
