A Plant Manager oversees the production, maintenance, and quality assurance functions. This professional multitasker will coordinate the plants manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with company objectives, quality systems, and customer expectations. The ideal candidate will be exceptionally detail oriented and able to lead a team, serving as the liaison between plant workers and upper management.
Requirements:
Ideate and implement strategic improvements for production, quality, and labour utilization throughout the facility
Provide leadership to ensure the effective utilization of plant personnel and equipment
Collaborate with functional departments in the implementation of improvements
Investigate and implement innovative manufacturing processes to reduce costs and improve product quality
Apply Lean Manufacturing principles in designing, specifying, and validating world-class manufacturing processes that achieve organizational goals
Bachelors Degree (or equivalent) in Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field
Min 10 years manufacturing/production experience
Coordinate manufacturing operations for production
Drive continuous improvement programs
Ensure that production line schedules are in accordance with the production plan
Manage materials replenishment, quality standards, and performance metrics in support of organizational goals and objectives
Manage cost structures for manufacturing by keeping operational expenses within the budget allowance, and investigate cost-reduction measures
Create documentation protocols and ensure that all records of operations are properly maintained and reviewed
Plan, organise, direct, and run optimum day-to-day operations
Manage production, assets capacity, and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining quality standards
Ensure production output, product quality, and on-time shipping
Allocate resources effectively and create and manage budgets
