We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Lab Support Technician to join our team.

This full-time evening position runs Monday through Friday from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, offering a consistent schedule and excellent work-life balance.

In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting laboratory operations by ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in daily workflows.

Your contributions will directly enable our team to deliver timely and reliable results in a fast-paced healthcare environment.\n \n *The qualified candidate will be placed into the appropriate job title and salary based on relevant experience, education, and hours requirements*\n Responsibilities:\n Specimen Processor Duties:\n\nAnswer phone inquiries and investigate specimen status.\nReceive, sort, prepare, and deliver specimens for analysis.\nDemonstrate courtesy, respect, and a positive attitude.\n\n Additional Duties:\n\nPerform routine instrument maintenance and record temperatures.\nRestock supplies and maintain clean storage spaces.\nPrepare and replenish instrument reagents and consumables.\nPerform QA/QC procedures.\nAssist with specimen/slide storage and retrieval.\nCheck pending work lists and resolve unprocessed work.\nDecontaminate work area and clean glassware.\nTest and clean emergency eyewashes and showers.\nSort and dispose of laboratory waste.\nTransport specimens off-site and deliver supplies.\n\n Additional Duties (Pennsylvania locations only):\n\nPrepare specimens for testing, including building worklists, checking acceptability, aliquoting, and loading/unloading instruments.\nPrepare microscopic slides and plant specimens in microbiologic growth media.\n\nHigh School diploma or equivalent, and at least 2 years of experience as a Specimen Processor (or equivalent) required in a clinical lab,\n\nOR associate degree (with biology and chemistry courses) and at least 1yr of experience as a Specimen Processor (or equivalent) in a clinical lab,\nOR Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant certification and 1 yr of experience as a Specimen Processor (or equivalent) in a clinical lab,\nOR Successful completion of a 50 wk U.S.

military medical laboratory training course,\nOR B.S.

degree from an accredited institution with a major in a biological or clinical laboratory science\nOR currently enrolled in an MLS (Medical Laboratory Scientist) or equivalent training program, with 3 years of college credits required.Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:Medical Laboratory Assistant MLA (ASCP) or equivalent certification preferred.
