We are looking for a skilled Data/Information Architect to join our team in Madison, Wisconsin. In this Contract-to-Permanent position, you will design and implement data solutions that support business decision-making, particularly within agricultural and retail industries. This role requires expertise in building dashboards, managing complex queries, and utilizing modern data tools to drive insights.

Agriculture Background

Tableau - Ability to create and design dashboards

Business minded - ability to present and maintain relationships with clients

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Tableau dashboards that visualize data insights for business applications.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to align data architecture with agricultural retail and cooperative industry needs.

• Write and optimize complex SQL queries across various databases, including DB2 and Microsoft SQL Server.

• Utilize Python scripting to enhance data processing and automation workflows.

• Manage and query data within Azure SQL databases, ensuring seamless integration and performance.

• Design and implement reporting solutions to support business processes and decision-making.

• Oversee the organization and handling of data files, including digital files and legal documentation.

• Support the analysis and documentation of agricultural economics data to inform strategic initiatives.

• Ensure data integrity and security across all systems and platforms.

• Provide expertise in scripting and query development to streamline data operations.• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data architecture or a related field.

• Proficiency in Tableau for designing and creating dashboards.

• Strong knowledge of SQL, including the ability to write and optimize complex queries.

• Experience with Python scripting for data processing and automation.

• Familiarity with Azure SQL Database and other Microsoft data tools.

• Understanding of agricultural economics or experience in agriculture-related industries is preferred.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to manage data challenges.

• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
