PRODUCTION LINE MECHANIC
Nutraceutical / Pharmaceutical Experience Preferred
**Required** Experience in Setting Up and Repairing Machines on a Production or Manufacturing Line
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Production / Packaging Line Mechanic to join our rapidly growing team at a leading nutritional supplement manufacturing company on Long Island. In this role, you will apply your expertise in setting up, maintaining, and repairing machinery used in dietary supplement manufacturing.
As a Production / Packaging Line Mechanic, you will be responsible for the upkeep and repair of all machinery used in the dietary supplement manufacturing process which includes but is not limited to blenders, encapsulation, tablet machines, packaging line equipment, as well as overall facility maintenance. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in repairing production and packaging line machinery, with a strong ability to troubleshoot and solve issues efficiently.
A successful candidate will be a strong critical thinker, hardworking, and capable of diagnosing and resolving issues on the spot to ensure smooth production operations.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Start-Up & Shutdown: Turn on and shut down packaging line machines at the beginning and end of each shift.
Set up: Adjust machine settings as needed to meet production requirements.
Repairs & Maintenance: Independently and promptly diagnose and perform repairs on machinery.
Parts Replacement: Identify, repair, and replace worn or damaged parts.
Repair Testing: Test machines and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure operational efficiency.
Preventative Maintenance: Perform regular cleaning, lubrication, and other preventative maintenance tasks on equipment.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
Technical Documentation: Read and interpret operating manuals, technical drawings, and schematics to understand machinery requirements.
Machine Inspection: Operate and inspect machinery to ensure proper functionality.
Machine Assembly/Disassembly: Assemble and disassemble machinery as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous experience working with production and/or packaging line machinery and equipment. [REQUIRED]
Experience with Pharmaceutical or Nutraceutical Machinery. [REQUIRED]
Ability to schedule and perform both preventative and corrective maintenance.
Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and troubleshooting abilities.
Skilled in the repair, maintenance, and monitoring of packaging line machines.
Bilingual Spanish (strongly preferred, but not required)
JOB TYPE: Full-time
PAY: $25 - $40 Can Be Negotiated Based on Experience With Dietary Supplement Machinery
