Legal Counsel

Location: Munich

Our client is seeking a legal counsel to join their team. This role involves providing practical legal guidance across corporate, commercial, and compliance matters, with a strong focus on German corporate law.

Responsibilities:

Advise on legal matters including contracts, compliance, data protection, IP, and corporate governance.

Support internal departments (e.g. procurement, technical, business development) with legal risk management.

Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents.

Monitor regulatory developments and ensure compliance with applicable laws and internal policies.

Assist in corporate transactions, restructurings, and strategic projects.

Support compliance initiatives and create legal awareness materials.

Contribute to process improvement as the company scales.

Requirements:

Fully qualified legal degree, ideally from a German-speaking university.

At least 5 years of experience in a law firm or in-house legal team.

Strong knowledge of German corporate law; additional expertise in commercial, contract, or compliance law is a plus.

Fluent in English and German.

Excellent communication, analytical, and organisational skills.

Comfortable handling diverse legal topics in a dynamic, international environment.
