Overview

Helios Defense Solutions LLC, a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, is seeking a highly motivated and qualified Leadership Development SME immediately on a contract basis to support the Indiana Army National Guard (INARNG) in and around Indianapolis, IN.

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for conducting multiple actions and activities to perform develop and manage a leadership development program for the Recruiting and Retention Battalion (RRB) of the Indiana Army National Guard (INARNG). This includes developing structured leadership development training for junior leaders within the Indiana National Guard Recruiting and Retention Battalion which encompasses conducting training sessions, developing curriculum, and providing necessary resources to enhance leadership capabilities among junior personnel.

This includes, but is not limited to:

Develop and implement a Junior Leadership Development Training Program that provides structured, competency-based leadership training for junior leaders within the Indiana National Guard Recruiting and Retention Battalion.

Conduct a market analysis of Indiana to evaluate the recruiting landscape and workforce dynamics.

Perform a business structure audit to evaluate the leadership framework within the Recruiting and Retention Battalion.

Conduct recruiter and junior leader interviews to gather qualitative insights that will inform the training program.

Conduct a quarterly in-person training sessions to provide practical leadership skills and application exercises.

Conduct monthly virtual leadership training sessions to supplement in-person training.

Conduct monthly five-day in-person leadership training courses at designated military training sites.

Ensure training participants to develop and present a Leadership Improvement Plan as a capstone project.

Implement a post-training evaluation process to assess program effectiveness and participant progress. Requirements:

Possess a minimum five (5) years of teaching experience either as a civilian or in a military capacity.? Preference is on instructors who have a valid teaching license and/or prior military service as a Non-Commissioned Officer or Officer.?

Possess strong instructional and facilitation skills, with the ability to conduct training in an interactive classroom environment. Experience in curriculum development, training needs assessments, and instructional design is highly desirable.?

Possess excellent organizational skills as well as written and verbal communication skills.

Knowledge of and experience with: NGR 601-1; Army Leader Development Strategy (ALDS); Army Training and Leader Development Regulation (AR 350-1)?.

Possess expert knowledge of analytical and evaluation techniques, and skills and abilities to identify problems, recommend solutions, and conduct complex studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization's programs to improve and optimize productivity and efficient utilization or resources.

Demonstrated ability to multitask, analytical/logical thinking and ability to problem solve
