Job Description
The Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across multiple properties. This includes troubleshooting electrical issues, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and experienced in working with both residential and commercial electrical systems.
Hours: 8am-4:30pm (vary by project)
Pay: $28+/hour DOEThe responsibilities of the Electrician are:
Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, fixtures, and equipment throughout managed properties.
Inspect electrical components, such as circuit breakers, transformers, and outlets, to identify hazards, defects, or the need for repair.
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently and accurately.
Perform regular preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and extend the life of electrical systems.
Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC), state, and local regulations.
Collaborate with property managers, maintenance staff, and contractors to complete projects on schedule.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and costs.
Respond to emergency maintenance calls promptly.
Recommend energy-efficient upgrades and improvements to reduce utility costs.The qualifications of the Electrician are:
Technical school or electrical training certification preferred.
Valid Electrician License in the state of CT.
3+ years of experience as a residential/commercial electrician, preferably within property management or facilities maintenance.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to stand, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
