Director, Vehicle Validation & Homologation

Job Description

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Vehicle Validation

· Define and execute the vehicle validation strategy, ensuring alignment with program milestones and launch targets.

· Develop and oversee vehicle-level test plans covering durability, reliability, corrosion, abuse, environmental, performance, safety, range, thermal, and EMC

· Implement advanced validation methodologies including accelerated life testing, reliability growth testing, etc.

· Drive continuous improvement in test efficiency, test failure analysis, and test issue tracking

· Build and maintain relationships with external test vendors supporting vehicle validation projects

· Ensure validation deliverables are met for product gateways and launch readiness reviews

Homologation & Regulatory Compliance

· Establish and lead global homologation strategy, ensuring vehicles meet regulatory and market-entry requirements in North America, Europe, GCC, etc.

· Monitor global regulatory developments and proactively adapt company compliance strategy

· Oversee certification documentation, regulatory submissions, and coordination with government authorities, technical services, and certification agencies

· Oversee internal and external validation to support the global homologation strategy

Leadership & Collaboration

· Lead and develop a high-performing team of validation and homologation engineers

· Collaborate closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Program Management, Quality teams to ensure overall vehicle readiness to launch

· Ensure strong cross-functional communication and alignment across the teams to resolve issues rapidly

· Partner with executive leadership to balance compliance, validation, time-to-market, and cost targets
