Job Description
The Control Room Operator ensures all systems on computers for pellet mills operate according to specifications at all times and remedies all system downtime.
Key Accountabilities:
• Adheres to company safety policies and OSHA standards.
• Maintains a safe, clean, orderly and accident-free work environment.
• Monitors entire computer system for Pellet Mill, making any adjustments as needed.
• Constantly monitors moisture level in system.
• Monitors dryer, rotex, and conveyors.
• Helps to adjust knives and mill rollers when shut down for maintenance.
• Fills in where needed to ensure efficient operation of the mill.
• Troubleshoots and resolves operational issues in a timely manner.
• Coordinates with maintenance personnel to schedule and perform necessary repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Ensures accurate logging and reporting of operational data.
• Participates in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
• Assists in training new operators on control room procedures and systems.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:
• Knowledge of pellet mill operating systems.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.

.• High school diploma or equivalent, plus two years’ experience operating computer systems in a manufacturing setting Special Features:
• Must be able to sit and/or stand for hours at a time. • Must be able to work in a dusty environment.
• Must be able to frequently reach, bend, twist, stoop and climb ladders/stairs.
• Must be able to frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to work flexible hours
• Willing and able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check.
