Job Description

*** 2nd Shift Can choose your own hours between 1 pm and midnight.

This position is responsible for moving and delivering freight and product to our customers and/or distribution center. This includes safely and efficiently operating a tractor-trailer.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Inspect load in trailer to ensure it is properly loaded and it is the correct load before leaving.

Perform daily services such as - checking the oil level, fuel, tires, and other pre-trip inspections.

Transport load by required route to proper destination while observing all traffic laws and safety regulations.

Assist unloading finished product from trailer.

Verify count while truck is being unloaded, as allowed by customers.

Obtain bill of lading signatures in smart phone or paper copy.

Pick-up approved returns from customers.

Complete driver logs and all other work reports accurately and in a timely manner.

Report maintenance items immediately to lead driver or supervisor. Be proactive in the maintenance of the truck and trailers.

Make recommendations for optimizing the schedule and/or meeting productivity, quality, cost, and safety goals

Assist on the production floor when no load is available.

Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.

The ability to operate in a constant state of alertness and safe manner

Additional duties may be assigned by management.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Commercial Driver’s License – Class A

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

One or more years of Class A truck driving experience.
