The role
As a Tactical Ventilation Trainer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be at the forefront of delivering high-impact, practical training to London Fire Brigade personnel. Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:
Deliver engaging, high-energy, practical training sessions and assessments
Support and motivate students to achieve their learning goals
Provide constructive feedback and conduct learner observations
Collaborate with the curriculum team to develop innovative lesson plans
Share best practices and contribute to programme standardisation
This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week, and is offered on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be based at the Gloucestershire Fire Service College, Moreton-in-Marsh. Happy to look at full time and part time opportunites.
Essential experience of the Tactical Ventilation Trainer:
Strong communication, literacy, and numeracy skills
Proven ability to inspire and support learners
Experience delivering consistent, high-quality student experiences
Skilled in developing interactive teaching materials
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Qualifications for the Tactical Ventilation Trainer:
Level 3 Award in Education and Teaching
Breathing Apparatus Instructor
Compartment Fire Behaviour Instructor
Tactical Ventilation / PPV Instructor
Significant operational experience in a Fire and Rescue Service is desirable
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
