As a Surveillance Security Guard, you will be the person spotting threats before they escalate in environments such as security operation centres, call centers, construction sites, parking lots and gatehouses, etc.

Responsibilities for Surveillance Security Guard
Stationed at the front desk at the main entrance of the building
Monitor and respond to requests via desktop computer using email and Microsoft Teams
Monitor the exterior of the building using the security camera system
Conduct hourly patrols of the exterior of the building
Conduct bi-hourly patrols of the interior of the building
Intervene immediately if loitering or suspicious activity is observed on site
Issue and document visitor badges, contractor badges, and keys
Manage and log incoming mail and parcels
Participate in training related to badge and key issuance procedures
Qualifications for Surveillance Security Guard
Be authorized to work in Canada
Hold a valid BC security license
First aid certification - an asset
Strong report writing skills
Good eyesight and excellent ability to maintain focus
Strong proficiency with technology
Ability to stand and walk throughout shift
