JOB TITLE: ASSISTANT PROGRAM MANAGER, DAY PROGRAM
Momentum WORK, Inc. provides services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders. This position is responsible for the overall management and oversight of activities in the Day Programs. In fulfilling Program Coordinator duties, this position will require the Program Coordinator to interact with staff, caregivers, Tri- Counties Regional Center (TCRC), Community Care Licensing, customers, and community members.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Assists in the oversight of the development and implementation of services designed to meet the needs of individuals being served by Day Services Program
Communicates with all program staff frequently, identifies training needs, and trains as needed
Oversees medication system for all program participants including checking in medications, creating and maintaining centrally stored medication records, creating and reviewing monthly MARS, controlled substance, and PRN logs
Write and review SIRs for program and ensure they are submitted within required timeframe
Updates Day Program activities summaries and goals on Case Magic
Attends meetings with program participants, DSPs, and agency meetings (as needed/requested)
Assists in meeting the regulations in alignment with R&D, CCL, and TCRC audits/reviews
Assists with the supervision of activities and group outings as needed, direct support as necessary
Uses crisis intervention techniques in emergency situations when people are in danger of injuring themselves or others
Reviews and oversees ID notes and documentation generated from staff
Ensures daily compliance with established guidelines and procedures and reports deficiencies to the appropriate party
Conducts program quality assurance checklists
Schedules program transportation as needed
Assists Program Managers of Day Services in coordinating maintenance issues in office, office equipment maintenance and Information Technology issues
Assists with program-related purchases and preparing purchase orders
Assists with work-related injury and files report for worker’s compensation
Attends Agency meetings and in-service trainings as required
Complies with all Momentum WORK, Inc. policies and procedures
Creates daily activity schedules
Complies with all Momentum WORK, Inc. and CCL policies and procedures
Assists vehicle maintenance program
Responsible for preparing safety drills in conjunction with management staff and assisting with monthly safety paperwork
Maintains inventory of iPads, and assists in setting up the devices for Job Coaches
Ensures common areas are tidy and organized at the end of each day. Cleans out refrigerator at the end of each week
Other related duties on an as needed basis

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with an emphasis in the areas of education, psychology, social services, or related field (work experience may be substituted for education)
Two (2) years’ experience working with persons with developmental and/or other disabilities in individual and/or group settings preferred; One (1) year of w year of which must be increasingly responsible for administrative and/or supervisory experience
Proven ability to work with and motivate staff members
Ability to earn respect and confidence of Momentum WORK, Inc. staff
Demonstrated ability to maintain the highest standards of confidentiality regarding persons served and other related information
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff within the organization
Ability to demonstrate patience and understanding because people served may have intellectual, emotional, or behavioral challenges, in addition to physical limitations.
Will need to be available during any disasters, per disaster plan
Valid CA Driver’s License: must have an acceptable driving record as determined by criteria established by the Agency’s insurance carrier and by Agency policy
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent computer proficiency (esp. Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Teams etc
Compassion and respect for persons with disabilities
Valid certification in CPR/First Aid (Training included)
