Responsibilities

As an Arrow excavator operator, you will perform heavy civil works such as mass excavations, sewer and water installations, retaining wall excavation and back fill. The Operator will work in tight work areas and in close proximity of other workers, underground utilities, overhead power lines and the general public.

Operate Excavators sizes 20T to 40T

Operate and control the equipment safely in changing ground conditions

Perform road work, excavation work, lifting work, and have knowledge of rigging

Respond to signals and directions by the staff and work in coordination with them

Working with both buckets and rock excavation attachments

Work in adherence to all safe work practices, procedures, as well as all regulatory requirements

Perform daily equipment maintenance and requesting required services

Other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager

You Possess

Minimum 5 years of excavator experience including mass excavation, sewer and water installation, retaining wall exaction and backfill

Experience working in heavy civil construction

Knowledge of quick change attachments, working with both buckets and rock excavation attachments

Mechanical inclination of equipment maintenance (mechanic, welder, machinist) is an asset but not required

Experience with routine maintenance operations

Valid drivers license and reliable transportation

Strong safety mindset

Ability to work outside in all weather conditions (snow, rain, sub-freezing temps, heat, wind)

Solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment

Ability to travel as required

Quality oriented and strong attention to detail
