Key Responsibilities

Design and Implementation: Create and manage database structures that align with user requirements and business needs.

Performance Monitoring: Regularly monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal functionality.

Data Management: Develop and maintain database schemas, tables, and dictionaries; perform data migration and transformation processes.

Backup and Recovery: Implement and manage database backup and recovery procedures to prevent data loss.

Collaboration: Work closely with software developers, data analysts, and system administrators to ensure data integrity and support application development.

Security: Protect databases against unauthorized access and threats, ensuring compliance with security standards.

Documentation: Maintain documentation related to database design, configuration, and performance metrics.

Required Skills and Education

Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to interpret complex data and convert it into actionable insights.

Problem-Solving: Exceptional problem-solving skills to identify and resolve database-related issues promptly.

Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is typically required.

Experience: 11+ years of experience in database engineering or administration roles, with familiarity in cloud databases, cross domain solutions, and big data environments.

Preferred Skills and Education

Bachelor’s degree in a related computer science area with 10+ years of data engineering experience with related experience within the last 2 years, or 15+ years of experience
