People Solutions are currently recruiting for a 3.5 Tonne Driver to join our well-established client based in Swindon, Wiltshire.

Rates of Pay:
Basic: £13.50 per hour
Day to Day Duties
Your duties as a 3.5 Tonne Driver will involve but not be limited to:
Operate and drive various 3.5 Tonne vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
Assist with loaded and unloading of cargo as needed
Essential Skills
As a 3.5 Tonne Driver you will need to:
Hold a valid UK Category B Driving Licence
Have a minimum of 12 months experience driving Category B vehicles
No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
Must have good knowledge of UK road network
Must be able to speak and read a good level of English
Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
Effective communication skills
Desirable Experience
Experience driving any commercial vehicles
Previous experience with multi drop deliveries
Training
Driver's Assessment must be completed
Industry related training provided and ongoing support throughout
