Position: Interventional CardiologistEmployment Type: Full-time (Minimum 40 hours/week)Board Certified or Board Eligible in Interventional CardiologySchedule: Includes on-call coverage, weekend duty, and monthly travel to outreach clinics (a few days per month)Key Responsibilities:a Provide inpatient, outpatient, and clinic-based cardiology servicesa Diagnose and treat heart and vascular conditions using non-surgical, catheter-based procedures and advanced imaginga Manage conditions such as coronary artery disease, heart valve disorders, congenital heart disease, arrhythmias, angina, and heart attacksa Promote prevention and management of cardiovascular diseasesa Evaluate medical histories and educate patients on heart healtha Conduct physical exams and interpret lab and imaging resultsa Prescribe medications and monitor risk factors contributing to heart diseasea Perform interventional procedures, including cardiac catheterization and coronary angioplastya Provide follow-up care and preventive plans for cardiology patientsa Maintain timely and accurate documentation for coding and billinga Participate in quality assurance, medical audits, and staff educationMinimum Requirements:a Medical Doctorate or ECFMG equivalenta Completion of residency in Internal Medicinea Fellowship training in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiologya Board Certified in:oInternal MedicineoCardiovascular DiseaseoNuclear CardiologyoCardiovascular Computed TomographyoAdult Echocardiographya Board Certified or Board Eligible in Interventional Cardiologya Current Nebraska medical license
