As part of the Front Office, the Senior GTB Sales (SM) will be responsible to identify, analyze, sell and/or support GTB products & services to established corporate customers and targeted prospective corporate clients. She/he will work closely with Relationship Coverage Teams to ensure an excellent service quality and to solidify customer retention efforts by providing a superior level of customer service.

She/he will assess customer needs and recommend effective strategies. Moreover, she/he will negotiate pricing to optimize the profitability of GTB solutions. She/He will be fluent primarily on cash management products and techniques, but also able to introduce Trade Finance and working capital solutions.

The creation of seamless working relationships with Corporate Credit teams as well as with Trade & Cash Management Coverage teams both, locally and internationally is an essential part of the job.

The role requires a strong client service orientation, detailed operational and process knowledge, knowledge of regulatory and risk processes, analytical and communication skills as well as professional integrity at all times.

He/she will be an effective team player and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to build and influence business relationships at operational levels of our multicultural organisation.

The SM plays an important role as first contact for the client. She/he is closely interacting with colleagues of the Mid-Office, our Head office in Paris as well as counterparts in our global network. He/she also needs to maintain a close contact to the Relationship Colleagues, credit analysis colleagues, product development areas and the Departments in charge of risks analysis and monitoring at Head Office in Paris.

Tasks and responsibilities:

Manage his/her own client portfolio of existing clients and prospects and ensure a sustainable growth of revenues year on year

Identify, analyze, sell and support cash management and GTB products & services to established corporate customers and targeted prospective corporate clients.

Assess customer needs and recommend effective strategies.

Negotiate pricing to optimize profitability primarily of Cash Management solutions and activate/involve other GTB product specialists for the Trade & Working Capital Areas

Solidify customer retention efforts by providing a superior level of customer service.

Work closely with the Relationship Coverage teams to ensure first class client treatment

Maintain seamless working relationships with Corporate Credit teams as well as with Corporate & Cash Management Coverage teams both, locally and internationally.

Prepare credit applications for overdraft, cash pooling and other facilities in scope together with the colleagues of Mid Office/Credit Support

Share with colleagues your knowledge about the clients, their business plan and strategy as well as the relationship status (usage of SG's internal tool)

Monitor credit balance and usage of credit facilities to take relevant commercial actions

Cooperate with the Mid Office team colleagues to ensure client compliance in regard to sanctions screening, compliance alerts, KYC Reviews and all other regulatory requirements

Support that obligations are met, support with controls related to permanent supervision

Whenever required control and monitor risks taken by the bank on dedicated clients

Regular client visits and business travel is part of the role

Studies & experience:

College degree and upwards

A proven domestic and international Payments & Cash Management experience, previous exposure to Trade and Working Capital products or willingness to expand her/his knowledge in these areas

Language skills:

English – C1

Other foreign language skills would be advantageous

Technical, operational & Soft skills:
