About the role:
Attraction Hosts are to maintain exceptional guest service and professionalism whilst assisting the guests to ride the attractions safely. The attraction host role will work across queue lines, express concierge, grouping and rider screening positions and dispatching on select attractions at Raging Waters Sydney.

• Positive interactions with guests to ensure that they receive quality service.
• Tactfully dealing with guests who do not meet ride restrictions.
• Provide a safe and fun environment for guests.
• Operate various attractions throughout the park in a safe manner.
• To know and enforce all Raging Waters Sydney policies relating to service delivery.
• Ensure all attractions areas, are always supervised and that all policies and procedures are being followed.
• Recognise problems and make decisions to help resolve the problem. Effectively communicate serious nature problems to the Head Guard or Operations Manager.
• Providing First Aid or CPR emergency care whenever required.
• Report any faults that arise during the day. Monitor the technical equipment for any machinery failure and maintenance required.
• To assist in the opening and closing procedures and the clean and tidy presentation of the park.
• Maintaining Park presentation standards to the highest level.
• Assist with general cleaning of the park and grounds as seen to be necessary and as directed.
• Assist with pressure washing duties outside of park operating hours as directed.
• Responsible for assisting with over park cleanliness including sweeping, rubbish pick-up, clearing and cleaning tables, emptying rubbish bins, maintaining picnic areas, maintaining birthday & cabana areas, work areas and restrooms.
• To carry out all duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Aquatic Coordinator, Head Lifeguard, Operations Manager, Director of Operations, or member of the Management Team.
Workplace Health & Safety (WHS):
• Follow and comply with Work Health Safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Correctly use all safety and personal protective equipment.
• Act as a role model by demonstrating safe work behaviours.
• Report WHS incidents, injuries and safety activities to your direct Manager and First Aid at the time it occurs.
• Promote proactive hazard/ near miss reporting. Report any hazards or near-miss incidents to your direct Manager and the People & Culture Director.
• Attend Work Group Meetings to discuss and promote safety.
Requirements
Education:
Essential
• Ellis and Associates Community CPR/AED & Standard First Aid and Community Certification (provided through Raging Waters Sydney)
• Dispatch Smart Waterslide Operator Training (provided through Raging Waters Sydney)
• Current Working with Children Check
Desirable
• Conflict Resolution Training
Languages: Fluent English
Skills:

Experience:
Desirable
• Experience working within a Water Park or Theme Park Industry.

Pay Conditions:
This is a casual position from October to April, with the need to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings, and public holidays during the season.
Must be available to work a minimum of twice per week during the peak season 15 December 2025 to 1 February 2026.
The hourly rates are in accordance with the Amusement, Events and Recreation Award.
Attraction Hosts aged 20 years or older are paid at a Grade 2 hourly rate of $25.85 per hour plus 25% casual loading ($32.31 per hour includes casual loading).
Different rates apply for applicants 19 years of age and under.
Penalty rates apply for Sundays and Public Holidays.
