A respected construction and remodeling firm in the Blakeslee region, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our team. We are looking for a true craftsperson who takes pride in their work and can independently manage tasks from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of all aspects of carpentry, from rough framing to intricate finish work, and can serve as a leader on the job site.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to fully grasp project requirements.

Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed for projects.

Perform all aspects of residential and commercial carpentry, including but not limited to:

Structural framing (walls, floors)

Installation of windows, doors, and siding

Finish carpentry, including trim, molding, cabinetry, and custom built-ins

Deck construction and repair

Operate a wide range of hand, power, and stationary tools with expertise and a commitment to safety.

Ensure all work is performed in compliance with building codes and safety standards.

Solve on-site problems and make adjustments as necessary to ensure project timelines and quality are met.

Potentially mentor and provide guidance to Carpenter Helpers and apprentices on the team.

Maintain a clean and safe job site at all times.

Must have own set of hand tools.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of professional carpentry experience is required.

Proven expertise in both rough and finish carpentry techniques.

Ability to read, understand, and execute plans from complex blueprints and construction documents.

In-depth knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.

Strong mathematical and measurement skills.

Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a collaborative team.

Must possess a full set of personal hand tools and have reliable transportation.

Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
