Job Description

We’re hiring a detail-oriented paralegal who’s comfortable on the phone and adaptable off the phone. Your job is to contact government agencies, gather updates, document interactions, and push for timely compliance with official timelines. This role supports an ongoing legal and investigative workflow that depends on persistence, clarity, and strategic follow-up.

When you’re not on calls, you’ll help with additional legal and investigative support — drafting emails, reviewing documents, and logging progress.

You’ll speak with clerks, administrators, dispatchers, and agency staff across the country — and be expected to spot deflections, log key information, and escalate delays when necessary.

What You’ll Be Doing

Make daily phone calls to government offices (e.g., sheriffs, city clerks, state agencies)

Ask clear, professional questions to confirm timelines and procedural status

Document all calls, outcomes, names, and deadlines with accuracy

Recognize signs of noncompliance or misdirection and flag for escalation

Coordinate with a legal and documentation team to keep timelines on track

Draft follow-up language (email or mail) as needed

When not on calls, assist with:

Drafting and refining legal correspondence

Reviewing documents or digital files for completeness

Organizing timelines, deadlines, and case notes

Light research or writing tasks related to legal tracking

Requirements

Paralegal certificate or equivalent legal training required

Excellent verbal communication and professional phone presence

Strong documentation habits (notes, timelines, escalation logs)

Comfortable working independently and holding agencies accountable

Proficient with spreadsheets, Google Docs, and digital tools

Familiarity with government or administrative processes a plus

Bonus Points For

Experience in investigative roles, legal outreach, or compliance

Background in litigation support or government agency communication

Fast, accurate typing (especially while on calls)

Ability to quickly understand statutory deadlines and procedural workflows

What You’ll Get

A critical role in a fast-moving legal and investigative operation

Supportive team, minimal bureaucracy, real-world impact

Growth opportunities into advanced legal, investigative, or research roles

Full-time
