The role of Communications & PR Specialist at SilverStar Mountain Resort is a blend of strategy, creativity, and planning. We're on the lookout for an imaginative and organized individual who can craft guest & HR communications, manage resort communication & digital media platforms, host media & VIP guests, and assist with compelling content strategy & creation.

Marketing Manager

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategy & Planning

Work with marketing team on communication, content and promotion strategies

Create and maintain digital communication calendar inclusive of marketing campaigns and content

Digital Communications & Social Media

Coordinate, create and execute email newsletters and campaign automations

Manage snow reporting & snow communications (winter)

Coordinate and execute content updates for digital and social media platforms

Collaborate with Content Specialist to craft captivating social media and comms content

Moderate messages and online reviews

Analytics and reporting

Media & PR

Assist Marketing Manager with media and PR communications

Maintain media lists, FAM calendars & itineraries

Create, manage and execute meaningful hosting experiences for visiting media at the resorts including itineraries, logistics, and follow-up. Act as a media escort when needed.

Coordinate content and updates for media kits & DAM

Media tracking and reporting

Promotions & Content

Assist Content Specialist with Promotions, Contests & Activations

Assist Content Specialist with content creation & DAM management

Assist Creative & Brand Specialist with projects as required

Writing, editing and proofreading content

Other duties as required

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

2-3 years in a marketing and communications role

Passion and knowledge of mountain sports is ideal -- skiing/snowboarding/mountain biking.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced changing environment

Familiar with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite and social media platforms

Email & CRM marketing experience. Knowledge of Inntopia, Acoustic & BeeFree an asset.

Creative writing with attention to detail

Excellent verbal communication and presentational skills

Photography and/or videography skills are considered an asset

Teamwork

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Ability to conduct presentations and meetings

Outdoor on snow coordination will be required

Intermediate ski or snowboard experience an asset

Flexible schedule as some weekends and early mornings may be required

Expected Pay Range

$48,000 - $51,00
