Are you an experienced accounting professional with a proven track record in financial management and strategy? Robert Half is seeking a Controller to oversee the financial and accounting functions for one of our clients. As the Controller, you will play a key leadership role in maintaining financial integrity, ensuring compliance, and providing strategic guidance to support organizational success.
Manage and oversee all financial operations, including general ledger, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to help drive strategic goals.
Ensure company compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), tax regulations, and other regulatory requirements while preparing accurate and timely financial statements.
Establish, analyze, and improve internal controls and accounting processes to safeguard company assets and minimize risks.
Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented workplace environment while ensuring department efficiency.
Collaborate with executive leadership to develop long-term financial strategies, including cash flow management, investment analysis, and cost control measures.
Act as a liaison between the accounting team and other departments, providing financial insights to support operational decision-making.
Leverage accounting software and ERP systems to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy of financial data.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) designation is strongly preferred.
Minimum of 7+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, preferably in roles of increasing responsibility. Previous experience as a Controller or similar leadership position is required.
Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and ERP solutions. Strong knowledge of GAAP and regulatory compliance.
Exceptional leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to manage teams effectively and communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail in forecasting, financial modeling, and strategic planning.
