24-28/HR
Shift:
Technicians work 12-hour shifts, 8 am to 8 pm – 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off.
Overtime required occasionally
Essential Functions:
Work safely. Identify unsafe conditions and take action to mitigate.
Monitor machinery for impending malfunctions.
Perform diagnostic testing, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment including wiring circuits, control devices, PLCs, motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, power transmission, heating/cooling equipment, and hoists.
Locate, retrieve, and stage parts using a forklift and hoist.
Fabricate using a band saw, drill press, grinder, acetylene torch, welding machine, lathe, milling machine, etc.
Install new or modified equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance tasks, including lubricating, replacing filters, inspecting, etc.
Provide hands-on direction to contractors.
Prepare repairable assets for shipment to contractors.
Use the internet to find information related to parts, repair procedures, etc.
Read and understand equipment manuals, schematics, drawings, and wiring diagrams.
Complete paperwork (logs, checklists, etc.)
Maintain housekeeping in the work area.
Train new employees on-the-job.
Ability to communicate with production technicians and fellow coworkers in a professional manner.
Offer ideas for improving the performance of operations.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Two (2) years of related experience in industrial maintenance or a similar technical field
Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems (e.g., PLCs, motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, wiring circuits)
Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex production machinery
Experience with diagnostic tools, hand and power tools, fabrication equipment (lathe, drill press, welding torch, etc.)
Comfortable with preventive maintenance, installations, and working from schematics
Ability to train others, use the internet for technical references, and follow detailed procedures
Strong safety awareness and ability to take initiative in unsafe situations
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move parts and supplies, up to 50 lbs.
Pay Details: $24.00 to $28.00 per hour
