Data Scientist

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Senior Data Scientist to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Las Vegas, Nevada. This role requires a deep understanding of advanced analytics and machine learning techniques to drive business success through actionable insights and innovative solutions. You will play a key role in developing models, optimizing processes, and guiding team members to ensure excellence in data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Lead complex projects from initial concept through implementation, ensuring measurable business impact.

• Develop advanced models for profitability, forecasting, and demand optimization using econometrics and machine learning techniques.

• Design and evaluate A/B and multivariate experiments to assess the effectiveness of business initiatives.

• Create dashboards, visualizations, and automated reports to communicate insights effectively.

• Analyze and validate data integrity, addressing issues such as endogeneity, heteroskedasticity, and autocorrelation.

• Identify and implement optimization strategies to drive incremental profit growth.

• Provide guidance to team members in data wrangling, model validation, and effective communication of findings.

• Research and utilize emerging technologies, including machine learning and generative AI, to enhance analytical capabilities.

• Employ cloud platforms such as Databricks for scalable data processing and deployment.• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in developing econometric and machine learning models with proven business impact (or 2 years with a Master’s degree).

• Proficiency in Python and experience with cloud platforms like Databricks.

• Strong knowledge of time series forecasting, A/B testing, and supervised/unsupervised machine learning.

• Familiarity with generative AI tools and libraries such as spaCy or Hugging Face.

• Expertise in using BI tools like Power BI and Tableau for data visualization.

• Experience with ETL processes and technologies such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, and Kafka.

• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to present complex insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
