Network Administrator

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Network Administrator to join our team in Park Ridge, Illinois. In this role, you will take ownership of designing, maintaining, and optimizing our network infrastructure to ensure seamless operations across the organization. You will collaborate with leadership and IT colleagues to implement robust solutions and support critical business initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, and manage network systems, with an emphasis on Fortinet firewalls and associated security devices.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, including routing challenges that affect multiple locations.

• Implement upgrades and new configurations to enhance network performance, security, and reliability.

• Coordinate network setups for new facilities and expansions, which may include physical installations and equipment configuration.

• Administer domain services to ensure consistent connectivity across enterprise systems.

• Act as a key escalation point for resolving advanced technical problems beyond help desk capabilities.

• Work closely with leadership and IT team members to align infrastructure strategies with organizational goals.

• Travel occasionally to remote sites for network installations or troubleshooting, as part of preplanned projects.• Proficiency in managing firewall technologies, especially Fortinet devices.

• Hands-on experience with Cisco routers, switches, and networking solutions.

• Strong knowledge of Active Directory and domain service administration.

• Expertise in LAN (Local Area Network) architecture and troubleshooting.

• Familiarity with FortiGate and Meraki solutions.

• Practical experience with Cisco ASA firewalls.

• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues efficiently.

• Willingness to travel occasionally for work-related projects.
