Job Description Civil Engineer Civil Engineer - Water Resources Location: Columbus, OH Salary: $70K-$100K (salary depends on experience)Position OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer specializing in Water Resources to join our team.
The ideal candidate will design and manage projects related to stormwater management, flood control, and water distribution systems, ensuring sustainable and efficient water resources management.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement stormwater management systems and drainage solutionsConduct hydrological and hydraulic modeling for water resource projectsPrepare and review engineering plans, specifications, and calculationsCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams on public works projectsEnsure compliance with local, state, and federal regulationsConduct site assessments and feasibility studies for water-related projectsManage project timelines and budgets while coordinating with contractors and stakeholdersUtilize AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other software for design and analysisPrepare technical reports and presentations for clients and regulatory agencies QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related fieldMinimum 1+ years of experience in water resources engineeringStrong knowledge of stormwater management, hydrology design, and water distribution systemsProficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, WaterCAD, and HydroCAD preferred Experience with green infrastructure and sustainable design practicesWater Resources projects within the Public Works group include regional stormwater systems, green infrastructure, flood control, water distribution systems, sanitary sewer systems, and utilitiesThis position involves design, calculation, and plan preparation from concept design through bid drawings with opportunities for construction administration.
