As the FIELD SALES MANAGER AWAY FROM HOME, you’ll have an FMCG or retail background, with a successful track record of winning in a field sales environment, combined with strong strategic mindset & commercial capability gained within an account executive or account manager role.

You’ll be working very collaboratively with the head of field sales as well as the take home team, helping develop our people, owning the performance management process, supporting the recruit to retain strategy, while simultaneously ensuring the team deliver against key performance measures

Own the channel commercial plan – people, strategy, tactics so we win in the right environments across relevant occasions (Insight based).
Recruit, develop and progress talent for the team to evolve and progress development of careers from the field into head office roles to drive the succession future talent.
Support the performance and overall management of the team and delivery against targets working with the Head of field sales, AFH Sales Lead, and with BDE team directly to ensure the delivery of individual and total team objectives
Set direction of the team along, aligning deployment with key accounts specific to regional bias and customer base.
Being out with the team as required coaching and developing them commercially through the right support and challenge, performance managing where needed.
Inspiring the team and individuals, championing a growth mindset and inclusive feedback culture.
Identification of any training needs, aligning with field leadership team to create and deploy training needs through L&D lead.
Lead the co-ordination of internal meetings for total team.
Be the face of the team internally giving business updates and sharing total team successes

A fundamental passion for people development and sales growth
Strong sales, coaching & team leadership evidence
NAM / commercial experience (account ownership)
Evidence of driving results through people, situational leadership / GROW model, performance management
Previous advanced sales experience / senior retail team leadership preferred
Experience selling to regional store contacts, to director level
