The Quality Technician position is responsible for performing, documenting, and reporting on results from inspections using visual and measurement tests to confirm the fit, finish and function of components and assemblies. Coordinate material review board activities. Assist in general quality tasks such as but not limited to; nonconformances, corrective actions, calibrations, auditing, ESD checks and reporting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•Performing inspection and quality tests on service repair components in accordance with defined quality standards. This includes collection of appropriate inspection data, dispositions and repairs as required.

•Performing incoming inspections and first article inspections (FAIs) of purchased parts according to defined criteria using standard physical, mechanical and electrical measurements.

•Verifying and communicating first shipment received of a new revision part in accordance with the engineering change notice (ECN) process.

•Performing the Material Review Board (MRB) dispositions. Including verifying part defects and reworking parts as applicable.

•Perform routine communication with internal and external stakeholders on quality dispositions and reports.

•Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.

•Active participation in continuous improvement process.

•Must understand and comply with 5S, ISO, and other corporate programs, initiatives and safety protocols, which includes being free from the influence of drugs, alcohol, or any substances that may impair physical or mental abilities.

•Compliance with company substance use policies is required to ensure a safe work environment.

•Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

•High school or GED or equivalent 3+ years' experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience

•Ability to read blueprint specifications including both ordinate and GD&T dimensioning callouts.

•Experience and demonstrable ability with basic measurement instruments including: calipers (both digital and analog), micrometers, height gauges, multi-meters, pin gauges, etc.

•Ability to read and write workmanship standards regarding finish requirements, surface condition, etc.

•Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word and Excel.
