Position: Psychiatrist - No nights or weekends

Centurion of Florida is the leading provider of comprehensive healthcare services to correctional institutions throughout Florida. We have maintained a long-term partnership with the Florida Department of Corrections since 2017 and offer various practice opportunities across many locations.

Location: Reception and Medical Center near Gainesville, Florida

Responsibilities include providing consultation liaison services within a large correctional hospital, managing inpatient and outpatient services, and caring for patients with complex psychiatric and medical conditions.

We are expanding our psychiatric services across the state and seek qualified Psychiatrists near: Tallahassee, Gainesville, Jacksonville, Orlando, Ocala, and Miami. Opportunities include outpatient, inpatient, teaching, mentoring psychiatric residents, and consultation-liaison roles within correctional hospitals.

Requirements

MD or DO with completed accredited residency

Current Florida medical license

Board Certification or Eligibility in Psychiatry

Active DEA registration

Current tuberculosis documentation and CPR certification

Ability to pass background checks and obtain security clearance

Experience in correctional mental health or locked units is a plus
