Summary:Ability to maintain & operate, in a safe & efficient manner, the following equipment including: utility vehicles, fly mowers, weed eaters, hand tools, walking greens mower, sod cutter and mechanical edger.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:In addition to the following duties and responsibilities, other duties may be assigned:Changing cup/tee markersMowing tees, approaches and collarsMowing fairwaysMechanized triplex trim mowing 72" rotary roughs, fairways, etc.Sweeping roughs, fairways, etc.Mowing roughs with rotary mower and tractorMowing trap edges and other areas with fly mowersGathering debris, which includes limbs, leaves, small sticks, etc.Using a weed eater to trim around trees, etc.Repairing tee and fairway divotsVarious trench excavating for irrigation, drainage, root pruning etc.Cleaning shop according to the designated scheduleMechanical removal of weedsLoad or transport 50 lb.

fertilizer bags or seed bagsSod removal, sod laying, and grass spriggingTop dress greens and teesTrap raking (hand and mechanized)Cart path edgingRepairing ball marks Assist irrigation and chemical technicianFertilize, verti-cut and aerify greens, tees, fairways and roughsPerforms related tasks requiredMust change cups accurately, at the proper consistent depth, using the cup setter at a desired and proper location on the greenMust ensure that all reels are cutting properly at all times Must be able to accurately walk mow a typical green in twenty minutes or lessMust maintain and operate all equipment in a safe, efficient mannerMust clean, and dry all equipment after useMust wear uniforms properlyMust report any unsafe conditions acts to the most available supervisorMust report any machine malfunctions to mechanics and/or SuperintendentAssist in keeping a clean, safe shop and work environmentFrequently rechecks daily scheduleMust check fuel and oil levels before leaving shopMust fuel equipment up at the end of each useMust warm engines up to 1 minute prior to use and must throttle engine down for 1 minute prior to shut downMust exercise proper etiquette around members and guest on the golf courseMust maintain an excellent job attendance recordAlways turn engines off when fueling equipment Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Associates with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry and report deadlines, associate may be required to work varying schedules to meet the business needs of the Club and report deadlines.

Proper grooming is required by all associates and is described in detail in the Associates Handbook.

Associates should review this policy and make sure that at all times they present themselves for shifts looking clean, neat and professional.

As a condition of employment, all associates agree to fully comply with Ocean Reef Club rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of Club facilities.

Associates who violate Club rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
