Wood Finishing Technician

Location: Cavalier, ND Pay: $22-$25/hr Full-Time

Express Employment Professionals has partnered with a local cabinet company in Cavalier, ND to hire a detail-oriented Finishing Technician. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship and wants to work with a team that values quality and precision.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare wood surfaces by sanding, staining, and sealing to achieve smooth, high-quality finishes

Apply stains, sealers, and topcoats using air-atomizing spray equipment

Maintain spray booth cleanliness and ensure optimal working conditions

Inspect completed parts for color consistency, smoothness, and defects

Troubleshoot and adjust spray settings, including pressure, viscosity, and gun configuration

Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in wood or industrial spray finishing preferred (willing to train the right candidate)

Proficient with air-spray equipment and other finishing tools

Strong eye for color matching and surface quality

Able to read and follow batch tickets and finish schedules

Safety-focused with attention to detail

Compensation & Benefits:

Pay range: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Full-time, 8-hour shifts
