Software Engineer

Summary:

Mu-Del Electronics is looking for a Software Engineer to develop automated testing software via Python for testing and tuning of precision electronic devices, per part specific specification documentation and test procedures of millimeter-wave active/passive components/sub-systems covering a wide frequency spectrum from DC to 40 GHz.

This job requires a motivated individual who is comfortable developing software to communicate to various test equipment and devices via Ethernet, USB and SMNPv3. The individual should have the ability to troubleshoot and read block diagrams, must be able to work with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams, and communicate testing issues and results. The candidate must be able to manage, track, and execute multiple priorities within schedule requirements.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related technical or scientific fields

0 – 5 years of experience

Strong foundational knowledge working with Python development

Understanding/development of embedded software a plus

Willingness to learn and become an effective team member

Experience with transferring data between Microsoft Excel and Word

Demonstrated ability to take initiative and responsibility in a team environment

Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills; exceptional time management skills

Effective communication skills, including writing, speaking and active listening; great interpersonal skills

Desired Qualifications:

Demonstrated experience with the systems engineering life cycle

Previous hands-on experience through coursework or internships

Previous hands-on coding experience with Python

Automated testing experience in a manufacturing environment

Must be able to pass background screening; Green Card holders or US Citizens only.

Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
