Our proven methods, focus on safety, and commitment to quality help bring our customers' biggest ideas to life.Position SummaryPerforms the full range of welding tasks required in the fabrication of structural and miscellaneous metal components.

Welders are responsible for interpreting blueprints, operating trade-specific machinery, and executing quality welds in accordance with project specifications and safety standards.

This position is classified into Welder 1, Welder 2, or Welder 3 based on certifications, experience, and demonstrated capabilities.Currently offering a $1,000 sign-on bonus and up to $5,000 in relocation assistance.

Role Responsibilities\nOperate welding machinery and equipment specific to trade.

\nInterpret job orders, cut lists, and blueprints.

\nRead and use a tape measure accurately.

\nSelect the proper machine and sequence of operations.

\nPerform welds to required quality and code standards.

\nInspect work and document compliance.

\nOperate forklifts and overhead cranes.

\nComply with safety and shop rules.

\nMaintain and troubleshoot welding equipment.

\nPerform other assignments as directed.

\n\nQualificationsWelder 1\n3G certified in welding.

\nProficient in basic welds meeting quality standards.

\nAbility to perform intermediate math.

\nBasic knowledge of weld symbols.

\nFollows direction and completes tasks under close supervision.

\n\nWelder 2\nAll Welder 1 qualifications plus: \n3-5 years of welding and metal processing experience.

\nCertified in 3G and able to obtain 6G certification.

\nProficient in FCAW and GMAW across multiple transfer modes.

\nCan weld light metals and medium-complexity components.

\nProficient in reading and interpreting blueprints.

\nIntermediate math skills including some geometry and trigonometry.

\nMastery of weld symbols.

\nMentors Welder 1s.

\nParticipates in continuous improvement efforts.

\n\nWelder 3\nAll Welder 2 qualifications plus: \n5+ years of welding, metal processing, and structural fitting experience.

\nCertified in 3G and 6G welding, with SMAW proficiency.

\nAble to weld light and heavy structural metals.

\nCapable of performing advanced-complexity welds.

\nStrong ability in blueprint reading and layout.

\nAdvanced math skills including trigonometry and geometry.

\nCommunicates job status to shop leadership.

\nLeads and mentors up to 5 Welders.

\nContributes to lean manufacturing and process improvement initiatives.

\n\nMinimum Physical Requirements and Accountability\nWork outside, inside, and in dusty, noisy and hazardous areas.

\nWork in high places, tight places, confined spaces and/or other adverse locations.

\nClimb, balance, squat, kneel and crouch.

\nWork in all types of weather.

\nLift, move, and/or carry up to 50 lbs.

\nWorking knowledge of all trade materials and tools.

\nComply with all company policies and procedures.

\nAll employees are accountable for safety and health and are empowered to stop work if an unsafe condition is present.

Employees should immediately notify their supervisor so that the hazard may be corrected.

\nRK Mechanical employees and subcontractors must meet safety system requirements, including RK Orientation, CPR/First Aid/AED/Bloodborne Pathogens, Hazard Identification, and OSHA 10.
