Entry Level CAD Detailer

Job Description

Job Summary: Detailers who will be responsible for detailing various parts/components to assist our automotive, aerospace, military and industrial equipment customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Application of CAD skills necessary to complete assignment requirements.

Responsible for the verification of component details necessary to meet customers’ objectives, clearances, manufacturing requirements and functionality.

Responsible to support department design and drawing reviews.

Communicate job status to senior designer, engineering and management on a daily basis.

Assist the design department in other capacities such as in detailing and checking, with guidance.

Continue to strive to be the best in class. (New CAD methods/training, serviceability, manufacturing process, etc.)

Responsible to support department Quality System and follow any procedures or work instructions provided for assigned projects.

Qualifications:

Candidate should have a working knowledge of Catia, NX, and/or Solidworks.

Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school pertaining to mechanical designer/engineering; or in the process of obtaining a degree.

Ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Demonstrated geometric dimensioning and tolerancing capability.
