Job Title: Senior Citrix Engineer

Pay Range: $60/hour to $80/hour

About the Role

Our client is seeking a Senior Citrix Engineer to lead and support the architecture, development, implementation, and maintenance of Citrix services. In this role, you will act as a technical leader, mentor, and subject matter expert, ensuring the delivery of high-performance virtualized applications and desktops. Youâ ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that are critical to clinical and business operations.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the evaluation, development, integration, and administration of Citrix and related virtualization solutions.

Design, install, maintain, and configure Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop, StoreFront, NetScaler, and Citrix Machine Creation Services (MCS).

Manage and provision VMs in VMware ESX and/or Nutanix AHV environments.

Deliver technical solutions for Citrix services and virtualized applications and desktops.

Provide mentorship and guidance to team members; foster knowledge sharing and professional development.

Collaborate with stakeholders to troubleshoot and validate application performance in XenApp/VDI environments.

Participate in capacity planning, system design, and performance tuning for Citrix infrastructure.

Drive best practices for Citrix environment management and deployment methodologies.

Lead large-scale and enterprise-wide IT initiatives, and interface with both technical and non-technical teams.

Maintain change management and production standards in line with ITIL or other frameworks.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

Bachelorâ s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

In lieu of a degree, 10 years of relevant IT/business support experience is required.

Experience:

6+ years of relevant IT experience (or 10+ years without a degree), particularly in Citrix environments.

Proven hands-on experience with:

Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop, StoreFront, NetScaler, MCS

Windows Server Operating Systems

VMware ESX and/or Nutanix AHV

Active Directory, Citrix Group Policies

Demonstrated ability in capacity planning, infrastructure design, and system performance optimization.

Experience leading or managing complex IT projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
