Finality (purpose of the role)

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Engineering Manager to lead the development of a cutting-edge EDA software solution focused on automating the assembly and integration of large and complex SoCs. In this role, you will be at the forefront of innovation in the semiconductor industry, managing a team of software and hardware engineers to deliver scalable, performant, and state-of-the-art tools that streamline and accelerate SoC creation.

As a Engineering Manager, you will play a critical role in leading the development and verification activities of the Magillem Connectivity product.

Mentor and grow team members through technical guidance, code reviews, and career development support.

Champion a culture of agile development, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Nature and scope of responsibilities

Team Management & Leadership

Lead and manage a software development team building an EDA software product tailored for IP assembly, interconnect generation, and integration automation.

Foster a collaborative team culture that focuses on quality, reliability, and customer experience.

Establish reusable patterns, best practices, and coding standards to ensure consistency and maintainability.

Development, Verification and Delivery

Design and implement high-performance, modular, and extensible systems for building large-scale SoC design workflows.

Develop and maintain a scalable, automated verification framework that maximizes test coverage while minimizing cost.

Ensure project execution, tasks allocation, milestone tracking, and timely delivery of features with high quality and reliability.

Make sure the codebase is well-documented, maintainable, and comply with industry standards.

Drive continuous improvements in the efficiency and reliability of engineering processes.

Internal/external working relationships

Coordinate with other engineering teams to align on registers and front-end requirements and priorities.

Partner with the Project Management, Product Management and Customer Success teams to understand priorities and allocate development tasks to deliver on-time the next release while anticipating on larger development tasks for the coming releases.

Collaborate with Product Engineers and Architects to understand new features and technical directions for the product.

Experience Requirements / Qualifications (technical & skills)

10+ years of industry experience in the semiconductor industry both as a development or verification engineer and as an engineering manager.

Proficiency in software programming languages such as Java, C++ and Python. Ability to contribute to the code and perform code reviews when needed.

Deep knowledge of RTL design and verification languages/methodologies (VHDL, Verilog, SystemC, SystemVerilog, UVM) is a must.

Good understanding of the IP-XACT standard for the design of IP for integrated circuits.

Background in software design patterns, data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.

Good understanding agile development methodologies.

Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Curiosity, results-oriented mindset, and rigor.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or related field.

Salary range: €70–90K per year depending on qualifications and experience.

Language(s) Requirements

Fluent French and English
