NCS has experience and specializes in Development, Design-Build, Construction and Remodeling of Retail, Office, Industrial & Commercial Building including Restaurants, Medical Facilities, Dental, Veterinary Services, Private School/Day Care, Religious, Car Dealerships, Automotive Service & Repair. The candidate for this position will operate within a fast paced, dynamic, entrepreneurial environment and will need to possess the necessary breadth of construction assembly knowledge to assist the Project Team in reaching our client's development, construction and growth goals. The NCS General Superintendent is the primary coordinator of the Field Staff and is responsible for working with the Project Team to develop the project requirements, identify and define areas of responsibility, coordinate the efforts of the TEAM and, ultimately, make sure the project is on time, within budget and meets the expectations of our customers.

Experience and Education

Superintendent, 3-5 years (REQUIRED)

Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Architecture or equivalent (PREFERRED)

3-5 years of experience in ground up construction, multi-story ground ups, tilt wall, strip centers, storage facilities,office complex construction and restaurant experience. (REQUIRED)

Quality knowledge about commercial building design and construction (i.e., building envelope, foundations, roofing systems, MEP systems, interior finishes etc.)

Strong understanding of construction means, methods, techniques and value engineering

Must be familiar with Procore, Bluebeam, Building Connected and other construction management software

Must have positive attitude, be willing to enforce company policies and support a strong culture of excellence, teamwork and accountability

Team leader, accountable and responsible for the outcome of the project

Reviews, analyzes and resolves plan and field construction problems/discrepancies

Prepares Scope of Work (SOW) through interpretation of plans, detail sheets, and specifications for contractors or craft supervision

Takes courses of action necessary to expedite the successful completion of projects assigned

Participates in short and long range planning

Maintain strong relationships with supervisors, peers and direct reports

Work closely with Project Team (Owners, A&E, AHJ, Field and Office

Provide constructive guidance and feedback to team members

Weekly Job Duties

Coordinate, co-lead and schedule Project Kick-off and Pre-Construction Meetings

Attend project and client TEAM meetings

Verify that project requirements are completed

Bid new project opportunities by coordinating efforts with estimators, project coordinators and interns on the team

Review and understand all construction documents (plans, specs, permits, contracts, supporting documents) to ensure conformance with budget, schedule, and prime contract

Develop detailed scope sheets that accurately reflect division and trade scope of work

Analyze vendor and trade partners pricing for completeness and accuracy

Prepare and maintain project construction schedules to ensure appropriate milestones are set and Project Teams goals are met

Review, circulate and approve project RFIs and Submittals

Review quality and quantity of work at project for % completion in accordance with schedule

Review and approve trade partners % completion for draw requests

Assist in preparing Owner change orders and trade partner change order requests

Perform regular site visits to projects to ensure safety, quality, and schedule are adhered to

Identify and anticipate potential issues and mitigate any risks to project completion

Prepare and publish documentation and project notes in a timely manner

Maintain and strengthen national customer and trade partner relationships by serving the team to create long-lasting, collaborative relationships
