Mechanical Project Engineering Leader - Manufacturing

Join our dynamic team as a Mechanical Project Engineering Leader at our state-of-the-art paper manufacturing facility in Ashland, Virginia. This role combines technical expertise with leadership skills to drive continuous improvement in our maintenance and reliability programs.Core Responsibilities:

Lead complex mechanical engineering projects from conception to completion

Spearhead root cause analysis (RCA) investigations and implement corrective actions

Develop comprehensive project plans and work orders using advanced planning tools

Manage vendor relationships and evaluate technical proposals

Optimize predictive maintenance strategies within SAP CMMS

Drive continuous improvement initiatives in maintenance processes

Ensure compliance with safety standards and quality protocols

Coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellenceRequired Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering

5+ years of maintenance/reliability engineering experience in industrial manufacturing

Proven expertise in CMMS systems, preferably SAP

Strong project management skills with MS Project proficiency

Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles

Excellence in problem-solving and critical thinking

Outstanding communication and leadership abilities
