Job Details:
As an R&D Specialist, you will be responsible for leading allocated Research & Development projects, primarily focused on Added-Value Poultry solutions for Quick-Service and Casual Dining Channels in both the UK & EU.
You will be collaborating closely with local key functions and international manufacturing locations to deliver developed products exceeding customer expectations.
The responsibility of the role encompasses concept: finished product listing, ensuring compliance with food safety, labelling and operational parameters per client.
Key Accountabilities
Recipe development and evolution from Kitchen Sample to Industrial Line Trial and Final Specification version
Provide complete, accurate information required for specification population inclusive of process flow, recipe calculation, ingredients listing, allergen content and nutritional values, along with technical aspects of packaging
Project Manage from concept through to launch inclusive of factory line trial management, both from distance and in-person, across an international supply-base
Source ingredients and work with processing-partners developing the Company Sourcing Strategy
Provide Product Sample Information inclusive of calculated ingredient declaration, theoretical nutritional values and indicative pricing
Represent the company face: face with clients with insightful, presentable meeting content, articulating developed product samples ingredient list and processing
Absorb infeed of food inspiration and consumer trends in food, cuisine, preparation, consumption, and occasions, interpreting into product development
Skills and Experience
2- 3 years of experience in the same role within the food industry
Food Science-related BSc or HNC/HND or proven track-record in Further-Poultry Processing, Coating and Marination Ingredients or Application
Proven track-record of concept development, industrialization and project ownership
Driven to improve working methodologies and embracing technology
Strong communication skills and professional approach to presentation to both internal and external audiences
Strong numeracy skills and IT literacy
Second Language desirable
Dynamic approach with good time-management and adaptability to task
Travel 30%: We are seeking a candidate who thrives in dynamic environments and is open to frequent travel. This role involves extensive trips to collaborate with global teams, engage with clients, and oversee project implementations.
